Half black morocco, light rubbing on joints. Top of one spine repaired. Back joint on vol. 3 cracked through, held to the book by stitching.
Standard and important work. Of special interest because most of the illustrations were engraved from contemporary daguerreotypes giving a photographic detailing to the plates.
